Catchers Camp

This is IPB’s one of a kind annual December instructional Catcher’s Camp. This unique program breaks down the catching position. IPB features former Major League catcher’s Matt Stark (Toronto Blue Jays/Chicago White Sox) and current Seattle Mariners International Scouting Supervisor (MX) and Jim McNamara (San Francisco Giants) and current agent with the Scott Boras Corporation as instructors, IPB has been fortunate to add former professional catcher and current college coach Ronnie Deck as part of there catching staff. This 3 day camp targets the areas of receiving, defensive positioning, blocking balls, fielding bunts, passed balls fundamentals, throwing mechanics, foot work and blocking the plate. Also the event dives into working with a pitching staff, calling a game/pitch selection, detecting weaknesses in hitters, taking control of a game and communicating as a leader on the field. The final day of the event ends with the famous Catcher’s Olympics which implements most of these areas in a fun formatted timed game. Little league, high school, college and professional levels will be divided into groups.
